MilSim.com is a community site that is focused around organizing and raising the bar for MilSim on an international level. By promoting high quality MilSim "operations" run to the highest standards and promoting outside-the-box thinking by our members, MilSim.com aims to every push the envelope of MilSim.

MilSim or Military Simulation is the name given to a sport (some call it a hobby) where participants partake in roles as Military personnel and sometimes civilians within scenarios that emulate a military operation in a real world scenario. Weapons used by the participants are typically airsoft replica weapons or paintball replica weapons, although it is not uncommon for blank firing replica weapons or completely inert replica weapons to be used. In addition to "in the flesh" MilSim, there are also aspects that utilize video games and table top games.

The quality of a MilSim Operation is determined by many factors. Immersion factor is a large one; the scenario and objectives for the participants must be realistic and believable. Player attitude is another factor; if they do not take the roles seriously enough or they do not follow rules and orders given to them by either event organizers or their command structure, the quality of the event is lowered. Tactics and Strategy are another factor. Players and teams are expected to know proper tactics and how to properly employ said tactics. Lastly appearance is another factor that increases the quality of a MilSim Operation. If the players do not look the part, then the Operation does not look the part. While players aren't expected to have every little trinket to complete the look, at least having the foundational elements of a loadout are key to adding to the immersion factor.

It is by striving to improve the above factors for the global MilSim community that MilSim.com aims to improve the overall experience offered by MilSim Operations and in turn raise the bar for MilSim.
