ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead Released!
Submitted by Yuka on Mon, 06/28/2010 - 16:00According to the site, players will be able to play as members of the United States Army in a fictional region of west-Asia named Takistan[20], where the terrain is based on Afghanistan. Operation Arrowhead will include three new maps, a variety of new units, vehicles and equipment, as well as the eponymous campaign. Among the new units are a new array of US army personel and vehicles, Czech forces and German KSK units. UN peacekeepers are also present as an independent faction.
Movement
Submitted by Yuka on Mon, 06/14/2010 - 03:19Moving a unit from one point to another may seem like a simple task but in a combat situation there is much to account for. Security, stealth, and dispersion must be taken into consideration to ensure that the unit arrives efficiently and without casualties and without detection.

We have added this functionality so that members here can jot down any aspect of MilSim that they feel needs sharing. Whether that be an experience at a MilSim event or what works for them on the field or gear set up - it serves to give each and every member a soapbox from which to announce to the world whatever they want about MilSim.
Bear in mind, though, that anything that is deemed unwanted by the MilSim.com staff WILL be removed and relative punishment will be dealt to the offending poster. Please see The Rules before making any entries.
With that in mind, please proceed to our Member Blogs.
Hand Signals
Submitted by Yuka on Thu, 03/11/2010 - 04:53The use of hand signals predates written history. It is a form of communication that can work over long distances and is silent. Because hand signals use light instead of sound to communicate, they are helpful in situations where the two people that are attempting to communicate can not hear each other. Additionally, they are helpful in situations where communication is needed but maintaining sound discipline is important.
